73 Construction SMEs Enrolled 360 Employees in the Free Training Program, DigiConstruct, and 15 Companies Benefited from Free Capacity Building Strategies in Less Than 9 Months

73 construction companies enrolled 360 employees in the free training program "DigiConstruct - Digital Skills for the Construction Industry (SMIS 143383)," successfully implemented by the Federation of Construction Employers' Associations (FPSC).

In 2023, FPSC supported construction, design, and building materials production companies by offering free training courses through the "DigiConstruct - Digital Skills for the Construction Industry (SMIS 143383)" project, co-financed by the European Social Fund through the Human Capital Operational Program 2014-2020.

The 360 employees from the construction sector benefited from sector-specific courses (Building Information Modeling) and general courses (Data Protection, Business Intelligence, Digital Communication, Working from Home on Digital Platforms, or Cybersecurity for Employees).

"In less than 5 months, we achieved the record of enrolling 73 companies in the project and training 360 employees. And within 6 and a half months from the start of the project, we traveled 9,000 kilometers as part of the DigiConstruct Caravan, whose main goal was to promote the courses. In 21 cities across 7 development regions, we met with 700 construction representatives interested in the digitalization process. We thank all the companies that trusted this project and signed up, we thank the employees who diligently attended our courses, the roundtable participants during the Caravan, our new and old partners who supported us, and last but not least, I thank the DigiConstruct team for all their effort and for the exceptional results. We exceeded 100% of our targets in less than 9 months, and this was only possible thanks to the cohesive and high-performing team we had," said Adriana Iftime, project manager of DigiConstruct and general director of FPSC.
